ABOUT
About the Historic 1902 Osage Building
Welcome to the 1902 Osage Building, a beautifully preserved Prairie Gothic landmark in the heart of downtown Guthrie, Oklahoma. A beloved creative hub and architectural treasure, the building continues to inspire visitors with its rich history, artistic energy, and thoughtfully curated spaces.
Today, the Osage Building proudly serves as home to three vibrant pillars of creativity and community:
✨ The Gallery of Utopia Joe
Step inside the imaginative world of Utopia Joe—renowned designer, artist, and television personality. The gallery showcases his signature furniture, bold artwork, and distinctive handcrafted pieces that have been featured on HGTV and PBS. Each display celebrates his playful aesthetic and deep passion for color, craftsmanship, and storytelling.
🎨 Tipsy Artist® Painting Workshops
Downstairs, creativity comes alive through the Tipsy Artist® Paint Palace, where guests of all skill levels enjoy fun, uplifting painting classes and artistic events. Known for its joyful atmosphere and welcoming instruction, the studio has become a favorite destination for locals and travelers seeking inspiration, relaxation, and community.
🏛️ Long-Term Loft & Commercial Rentals
The second floor of the Osage Building features two beautifully restored historic lofts, and the first floor includes a charming commercial space. While these units are currently fully leased, we occasionally offer long-term rental opportunities.
If you’d like to be notified when an opening becomes available, please contact us to join our waiting list.
A Legacy of Artful Hospitality
Although the Osage Building previously hosted award-winning overnight loft stays—including recognition as the “Most Unique Bed and Breakfast in Oklahoma”—we are no longer offering short-term lodging. We remain proud of these accomplishments, as they reflect the care, creativity, and craftsmanship that continue to define our space today.
Where History Meets Imagination
From preserved architectural details to expressive contemporary art, every corner of the 1902 Osage Building tells a story. Whether you're exploring the gallery, attending a Tipsy Artist® workshop, or simply soaking in the building’s charm, you’ll find a place where history, artistry, and community beautifully intertwine.
We invite you to visit, create, and be inspired.
